Heidi Ratanavanich (she/her, they/them) is a visual artist, carpenter and educator. Heidi’s work uses a range of media — particularly sculpture, printed matter and gatherings — to give form to inquiries into the politics of place and space. Heidi is specifically interested in the intersection of food sovereignty, Thai diaspora, ecology and economy. She is involved in the collectives FORTUNE, PPC (Philadelphia Packaging Company) and Provisional Island. This past summer she wrapped up a Maker’s Residency at W.O.W. (Wing on Wo and Co.). They currently Adjunct in Foundations at Moore College of Art and Design. For the year of 2020 they want to slow things down and focus on care
in both self and community.
